Been Haulin'
Its been awhile…holiday hustle/livin’
life means neglecting the blog…but whoever actually reads this is used to that
; )
I write Cup of T for myself mainly…to recap life. Sometimes I feel bad for certain trips I take or certain events & exciting things
that happen because they don’t get enough credit. I am just onto the next
without taking the time to look back and reflect which is why I have this…to
write about it. I’ve always loved to write but I like to spell things wrong and
talk in my own language.
This post is a little CA recap mixed with Holiday recap mixed with Happy New Year mixed with What’s Next.
Ya Dig?
This is what happens when you write once a month…gotta cover alotta ground.
Big Sur, I love you.
I spent Thanksgiving weekend camping
in Big Sur. It was magical. I have to say Big Sur is right up there with one of the most amazing places I
have ever been. Simple living = 2 general stores + 0 cell
phone service.
Big Sur is full of dreadlocks, camp grounds, dive bars, beach roads & mountains. Days spent
hiking, evenings spent hula hooping, dinners cooked over the fire and early
mornings spent sitting on tree stumps with coffee & blankets. Some nights
were spent in dive bars, some nights were spent with locals on their communes…through
the woods, up the mountain ridge, on the cliff, overlooking the pacific, watching shooting stars…that
happened. Not that pictures do it justice but here goes…
I returned home with a LONG list of
todo’s. I was refreshed after a trip to the wilderness. There was one spot with
cell phone service in Big Sur…on the left side on the Big Sur bakery parking
lot. So it was back to reality, and back to start the holiday hustle.
For everyone who follows along on instragram, y’all know each & everyday of Decemeber was spent on the grind. I appreciated every second of
it. I am so thankful for every customer who chose Trust for their holiday
shopping. It goes sappy quick, but at the end of each day
hustlin’ & trustin’ I walk down to the beach to catch the sunset.
Every night, I feel SO lucky that I can do that. I think about all of the people who fueled my fire for the day. How
busy I was because of them. How I worked all day on this little business that is now my full time job. I still think its crazy, I don’t think that will ever
leave me.
I recently read A Short Guide to a Happy Life as my moms friend recommended it to me. If anyone hasn’t read it….it will take you 20 minutes and the
authors outlook on life is on fleek. It is relevant to paragraph above...
I flew home a week before Christmas
to the East Coast to spend the holidays with my family. Where you grew up will
always be your home. That’s how I feel at least. I saw people I love, people I
grew up with, best friends, old friends, new friends and family. Nothing is
better than that.
I set my 2016 Business & Personal Intentions.
More time spent in the mountains (Do more of what you love)
More hip hop classes (Ill never stop dancing)
No more clothes (Over being the girl with overweight suitcases)
Less $12 Moon Juices (Sadly, not on the TRUST Budget)
More Santa Monica stairs (Work the glutes)
Overall...
Less material things...More Travel & More Adventure

I will be in serious prep mode for
POOL Trade Show in February. There is SO much to do before that. Besides actually making (SO MUCH) jewelry, my face will be
buried in paper work, prep and the "Pool To Do" list I created thats already making my head spin.
Heading back to the West Coast
I overdosed on sugar this holiday
season so like every other person in the world, January will be full of sweat
& cleanse on repeat.
Happy New Year everyone!
